Best poster presentation

Mélodie SchneiderAt the DCA Summer Meeting 2025, our PhD student, Mélodie Schneider, was awarded the Best Poster for her work on equine atrial fibrillation.

The project utilized advanced echocardiography, including strain analysis, to longitudinally quantify functional cardiac changes, over a four-month period in a cohort of horses with chronic atrial fibrillation. The findings contribute to the translational understanding of atrial fibrillation by evaluating the horse as a large-animal model for human heart disease and identifying potential echocardiographic markers of disease progression.
